Top 5 Fall Maintenance Checklist

#1 Store Away Those Hoses

Leaving garden hoses attached to your outdoor faucets can cause water to back up in the faucets and in the plumbing pipes just inside your exterior walls. When those freezing temps hit, that water could freeze, expand, and crack the faucet or pipes.

#2 Drain Your Sprinkler System

Fall is the time to drain your sprinkler system. Buried irrigation lines can freeze, leading to busted pipes and broken sprinkler heads. Turning off the water system at the main valve and blowing out the lines prevents major problems in the spring. Hiring a pro is well worth it to make sure you won’t have repairs to make in the spring.

#3 Seal Up the Exterior

Sealing up cracks around window and door frames, between trim and siding, and where pipes and wires enter your house is important to your home’s health. Preventing moisture from getting inside your walls is one of the most important fall maintenance jobs. You’ll also seal air leaks that waste energy.

As I got to know chad, I Came to realize that I had met builder who stood above the rest. Chad knows the ropes and kept me from getting into trouble. I was lucky to have Chad to lean on during the construction of my house. I can’t imagine meeting a more honest and qualified builder than Chad Blanker n baker. You’re a class act in an industry known for far less and really do stand above your competition.
